British & English Copper Coin collecting

William III 1699 Date in Exergue Double dots or spots under ear.

Date in exergue types are scarcer than the date in legend 2nd reverse type. All William III farthing are rare in higher grades and well struck examples are highly desirable to collectors. I have not seen examples with double dots under the ear, i can only assume the die had two dots or spots other wise the portrait would be double struck as well. Notice the small T in Britannia which is different to the T in TERTIVS.

This coins Grades Reverse very fine / obverse nearly very fine.
